Committees
Once a member of CSIA, all employees of the member company have the opportunity to join any of the standing committees. Volunteering on a committee is the perfect place to meet and build business relationships all while working together on initiatives and/or planning programs and events.
Apex Awards Planning Committee
CSIA’s annual Apex Awards is the technology industry’s largest night for honors. Nominees are companies whose innovation, vision, fortitude, and success have re-defined technology in Colorado. Individual nominees show perseverance, leadership, achievement, and influence. Volunteers of this committee are invited to help with strategic planning as well as coordination of the event.
Subcommittees of this event include: Sales, Marketing, Nominees, Categories, Judges, Presenters, Logistics, Venue/Catering, Volunteers, Video/Photography, and Appreciation. Day-of volunteering opportunities for Apex Awards include Set-up, Greeters, Registration, Will Call, Opening Ceremony, Award Handlers, and Break Down.

C-Level @ A Mile High Planning Committee
C-Level @ A Mile High is designed to connect technology business people with CIOs, VPs of IT and CEOs to promote business-to-business in Colorado, as well as increase the awareness about the number, talent and capability of companies right here in Colorado. Volunteers of this committee are invited to help with strategic planning as well as coordination of the event.
Subcommittees include: Sales, Marketing, Silent Auction, Community Relations, Venue/Catering, Volunteers, Logistics, Video/Photography, Celebrity C-Levels, and Appreciation. This particular event has many day-of volunteering opportunities including Set-up, Greeters, Registration, Will Call, Auction Walkers, Ambassadors, Check Out and Break Down.

DEMOgala Planning Committee
DEMOgala is CSIA’s largest event of the year, and in years past, has attracted 1,000 attendees to see the innovation in our state as well as attend dozens of panel sessions about technology changing business and our lives. We highlight the top 20 most innovative companies to showcase and invite top speakers from around the nation. Volunteers of this committee are invited to help with strategic planning as well as coordination of the event.
Subcommittees include: Sales, Marketing, Nominees, Speakers, Showcase Company Outreach, Judges, Logistics, Venue/Catering, Volunteers, Video/Photography, and Appreciation. This full day event has many opportunities for day-of volunteering including Registration, Will Call, Speaker Ambassadors, Greeters, Dinner Tickets, Room Change, and Break Down.

Education Committee
CSIA has aggressively been working over the years to increase the understanding and demand for students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Through our education committee, we identify key connecting and partnership opportunities to increase the awareness as well as the opportunities for students throughout Colorado.

Marketing and Communications Committee
New for 2009, this committee will focus on marketing, public relations, advertising and communication efforts to support the entire technology industry’s marketing and communications, as well as work with the special events marketing. This is a new committee and the key focus is to help with two key initiatives: (1) Support CSIA’s marketing campaign and (2) create an industry wide awareness campaign.

Membership Committee
New for 2009, this committee provides outreach to retain and grow CSIA’s membership with the more than 5,000 technology companies based in Colorado. This committee also works to ensure that CSIA membership provides the best possible value for our member companies.

Programs Committee
The Programs Committee is responsible for identifying the topics and speakers for CSIA’s monthly programs. CSIA focuses its programs and events toward CEOs, presidents, corporate decision makers and technology business leaders by incorporating events that provide C-Level insight and perspective on business issues and opportunities.

Public Policy/Economic Development Committee
CSIA’s Public Policy/Economic Development Committee works with elected officials, regulatory agencies, governmental leaders, economic development groups, and business leaders in Colorado to represent the interests of the entire technology industry.
Subcommittees include: Legislative Affairs, Regulation and Tax, Economic Development, and Research.
