Angi Homeservices shares how in-house work is changing during Covid-19
The parent company of digital marketplaces for home services, Angi Homeservices (Nasdaq: ANGI), reported in its first quarter earnings call Thursday that it is seeing an influx of new service providers and increased engagement from current providers during this period of economic downturn.
Denver-headquartered Angi Homeservices' brands include Angie’s List and HomeAdvisor, which specialize in providing advertising opportunities and marketplace solutions for small businesses in the home care and home services industry.
The company, which has existed in different iterations for the past 20 years, has been through the 2008 recession and seen a period of strong consumer demand for the last 10 years or so. But when demand is high, that can actually present a challenge for the company.
