    • Bennet Applauds Introduction of House Companion Bill to Expand Opportunities for Student Apprenticeship Program
      Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet welcomed the introduction of the House companion bill to his Student Apprenticeship Act. Introduced by U.S. Representatives Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.), the bill would close the gap between higher education and labor by modernizing workforce training and accelerating the growth of registered apprenticeship programs nationwide. Bennet first introduced the bill in November 2019.

    • IBM’s Boulder campus hosts fifth graders for Engineers Week with Rep. Neguse
    • Area elementary students are getting engineering and coding lessons this week from IBM engineers. Fifth graders from eight schools in the Boulder Valley, St. Vrain Valley, Jeffco and Thompson school districts are visiting IBM’s Boulder campus to participate in STEM activities for the 30th anniversary of Engineers Week. About 40 IBM volunteers are staffing the three-day event, which ends Thursday.
